About Me

- I teach history at Western Carolina University. My interests are pretty diverse and I find the concept of fields a bit restrictive. Broadly speaking, I am interested in 19th century America, the South, North Carolina history, Appalachian history, military history, and probably a bunch of other areas that don't spring readily to mind. I have a great family who tolerate me. What more can a guy ask for?
